and visitors are more than welcome to assist in meeting the needs of the church and sharing in the fellowship found in work and play here.

What door do I use?

The main entrance is on the south side of the building on West 5th St.  You will see a large staircase leading up to the main doors and the sanctuary.  To the west of this entrance still on West 5th St. is a ground level entrance and this is our handicapped entrance with an automatic door opener.  when you go inside you can either walk up the stairs to your left to the sanctuary or go forward and down to the basement level with our fellowship h

all.  If you find stairs difficult we have an elevator just inside this door that will take you to the sanctuary level and the basement level with our fellowship hall (Pilgrim Hall).  On Sunday mornnings you will also find the side doors open as well.  The one on the west side of the building off the alley takes you into our RE Wing which not only holds our classrooms and nursery but also the lounge/library and choir rooms.  You can also enter this space from the north east entrance off Walnut Street.

Is a nursery available?

We do have a nursery and it is staffed during all Sunday morning activities.  Children of all ages are welcome in the worship service.  We have a moment for children during the service and encourage children to be involved.  We do provide nursery care for infants and toddlers if that is your preference.  The room is supervised with an adult and youth and filled with toys and fun.  We ask that you sign the children in on the clipboard and then sign them out when you pick them up again.  The nursery is on the first floor of our Religious Education Wing in the south east classroom.  Ushers are available to help with directions.

Can I take Communion?

All are invited to participate; this is an open Communion.  You do not need to be baptized or a member.  We embrace the fact that the communion table is not ours, but is Christ's table.  The tradition in this church is to hold the piece of bread after it is passed until all have been served and we eat together, on the Pastor's cue; but drink the juice sperarately as soon as you recieve it.  Thus, we symbolize both our unity in Christ and our separate acceptance of Christ's fellowship.

Where are the Church offices?

The church offices are not in the church building.  They are in the brown building called the Annex at 218 W. 5th St.  This is to the west of the church on the corner of 5th and Cedar St.  The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m, closed noon to 1:00pm on Fridays.

How large is the congregation?

We have an active membership of over 375 people with an average attendance in worship of 160.  We are a "family" church, embracing all.  Big enough to offer a variety of opportunities for education and mission and small enough to make a personal connection with each other.

How do I become a member?

Everyone is welcome to join.  It does not matter what your faith background is.  Every 4-6 months the Pastor leads a "Brunch with the Pastor" session following the worship service.  If you are thinking of joining please let the office know and we will be sure to inform you of the next session.    If you are a member of another church we accept you by Letter of Transfer.  If you have been baptized but are not a member of a church we accept you by Reaffirmation of Faith and if you have never been baptized you are accepted by Confession of Faith and Baptism.
